Do you guarantee polling accuracy?
No, we cannot guarantee accuracy, however we do make every effort to give accurate results. We know it would be very annoying to receive a message telling you your server is down when it is not!
Is your server always available / working?
Again there is no guarantee but being available is a top priority for us. Our system is colocated with Origix, a company dedicated to providing their customers with a 99.999% uptime guarantee. Origix uses a patent pending architecture of redundant routers on their nationwide network, we have every confidence in them.
Is the data I submit secure?
We do not encrypt the communications between our web client and server components, therefore it is about as secure as email.
Why does my computer show up dead when its not!
First you may be behind a firewall, some firewalls do not allow our packets to get to your computer. Some computers on respond to our polling too slowly, this may be because the server is on a slow connection, or because the server is very busy.
My office uses a proxy server, is that a problem?
It can be a problem, the particular port the Web Applet runs on is 5680 - 5685 and has to be setup (open). True NAT (Network Address Translation) works just fine with no changes.
I want to use WebTelemetry for our corporate intranet (behind our firewall), is that possible?
Yes absolutely, the server (polling) portion of our software just has to be on a server behind your firewall. Please contact us for more information!
